This study aimed to evaluate the association between the deep lateral femoral notch sign (LNS), lateral meniscus injury, and femoral condyle morphology in ACL-deficient knees. MRI analysis of 74 knees revealed that LNS > 2 mm is significantly associated with lateral meniscus tears and a non-spherical lateral femoral condyle (LFCI < 0.7).
These findings suggest that a deep LNS may serve as a useful imaging marker for detecting associated meniscal and morphological changes in ACL injuries.
